On Saturday, April 25 at noon, Spring Mountain Ranch State Park guests can meet Jackson the wild burro. Jackson was born in Red Rock Canyon, just a few miles south of Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. Jackson was adopted in 2012 and now works to improve public awareness about his relatives and other wild creatures here in Nevada. If you’ve ever wanted to pet a wild burro, but have had the good sense to leave wild animals alone, now is your chance.

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is located 11 miles from the I-215 / West Charleston Boulevard intersection on Highway 159 at 6375 Nevada Highway 159, Blue Diamond, NV 89004.

Entry to Spring Mountain State Park is $9 per vehicle, with a $2 discount for Nevada residents. An annual pass for Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is available for $65. There is no additional fee for this event.
