Sister resorts The Venetian and The Palazzo introduce “pocketcasino” technology.

Cantor Gaming, an affiliate of the global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald, announced in January that “pocketcasino,” only available on the Las Vegas Strip at The Venetian and The Palazzo, is now offering casino-style games in addition to in-running sports wagering.

Pocketcasino gaming allows patrons to play casino-style games while roaming the high-limit slot salon, Grazie gold lounge, race and sports book, and designated public areas including bars, lounges, and restaurants at The Venetian and The Palazzo.

Cantor Gaming launched in-running wagering last fall at The Venetian Race and Sports Book and Lagasse’s Stadium at The Palazzo. Following the new gaming method’s success, pocketcasino now hosts a variety of traditional casino games such as blackjack, video poker, and slots. These games offer extra propositional bets that dynamically calculate odds based on the cards dealt, giving an extra opportunity to press or hedge your bets.

“The inherent flexibility of the mobile platform provides a new type of social gaming experience, where a group of friends can sit together yet all be playing different games: blackjack, poker, slots, or baccarat,” Lee Amaitis, president and CEO of Cantor Gaming, says.

Bonanza Casino presents new point structure

In January, the Bonanza Casino, in north Reno, unveiled a new point structure within its Fort Reno Cavalry Program. This is the first change since the start of the program in 2004. The new point structure allows guests to earn twice as many points, twice as fast, and move up the ranks of the Fort Reno Cavalry to receive more benefits and discounts.

The casino also hopes to attract new guests to the property. General Manager Ryan Sheltra says, “In [economic] times such as these, it is important to be proactive and ahead of the game when it comes to new promotions. We are excited to offer such a deal and hope to reward our guests more than ever before.”
