Celebrate the opening of Celtic Forest in downtown Reno with a reception at Sierra Arts and on the lot where Celtic Forest is installed (corner of Sierra and Island). The reception is from 5 to 10 p.m. with refreshments, music, Controlled Burn spinning fire, and more. At dusk, we will be lighting CF (first time there will be burning art in downtown Reno), and for the next 5 months there will be a variety of events including various days/events involving fire, music, readings, Controlled Burn and even hula hoops! There are now numerous Black Rock Art Foundation (BRAF is an art arm of Burning Man) spotlights happening in Northern Nevada — Celtic Forest, a Burning Man/BRAF exhibit on the concourse at Reno-Tahoe Airport, permanent playa art to be installed in a public park in Reno, and more to come.
