Art openings, Neon artists, puppetry, special art installations, drum circles, FREE Salsa lessons, food specials and more are what you'll find at the Riverwalk District's monthly Art Walk on Thursday, August 5 from 4 to 9 p.m. in the West Street Market and Riverwalk District in downtown Reno. Many exhibits and demonstrations are free!
Presented by the West Street Market and the RiverWalk Merchants Association, monthly Art Walks will provide themed art exhibits, live music and entertainment on the first Thursday of every month from now through December.
"We have so much going on downtown, and this is a great opportunity to showcase all the creativity Reno has to offer," said Matt Polley, Riverwalk Merchants Association president. "You'll have an opportunity to visit one-of-a-kind art exhibits, special performances, live music and much, much more."
Highlights of the Premier Art Walk on August 5:
West Street Market - Special performance by The Reno-Tahoe Drum Circle from 7pm to 9pm, FREE Slasa Lessons by Salsa Reno, Dancing, Food Specials, Neon Art demonstrations and more! Art exhibit by Kevin McCall, artist, designer and landscape architect, lives and works in the Tahoe area. You'll be surprised and intrigued by his boldly-crafted and humorous "take" on America's symbols and pop culture. Plus many more art creations such as neon art and puppetry.
