Celebrate the history of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad at the sixth annual Virginia City/Carson City Railfest on Saturday August 13th and Sunday August 14th.

Saturday August 13 - Virginia City
11:00 am - 4:00 pm: Virginia City Living Legends Photo Ops- Pose for a picture with Virginia City’s very own Living Legends at the Delta Saloon parking lot (next to the Bucket of Blood Saloon). Bring your own camera.
10:00 am - 4:00 pm: Battle Born Civil War Reenactors Educational Booth – Stop by the F Street Train Depot to “experience” a better understanding of the American Civil War and how it helped shape the country we live in today through “living history”.
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Moon Over the Comstock V & T Ride- Escape to the Comstock and relax on a romantic full moon evening train. The journey begins with a light box dinner and one glass of wine in a souvenir Railfest wine glass. Additional wine is $3. Enjoy the nocturnal view of American Flats through the light of the silver moon. Food and wine sponsored by Secret Service Catering. The cost is $38.00 per person. Adults 21 and over only. STEAM TRAIN RIDES
Ride the historic rails on a Steam Train from Carson City to Virginia City and back. Train departs at 10am and returns at 4:20pm. Diesel runs on Friday and Steam on Saturday and Sunday. For tickets and reservations call 775. 687-7410 or visitcarsoncity.com
