An adventurous way to catch the oft-hidden beauty of the Carson Valley area is to experience the annual Carson Valley Inn Rafting Outing on Saturday, June 11. This winding 20-mile journey down the Carson River features colorful wildlife, unique geological formations and majestic snow-capped mountains set against the bright blue sky.

The Inn's annual rafting trip offers unique vistas of otherwise hidden areas while enjoying crystal-clear water, clean air and sunshine! You just can't get all this from a postcard or even from the great views out many of the windows of the Carson Valley Inn.

An all-inclusive Rafting Outing package includes Friday and Saturday night hotel accommodations, a continental breakfast and pre-trip briefing Saturday morning, bus transportation to and from the river and a shoreline lunch. The scenic 20-mile adventure wanders through tall mountain canyons seemingly "out in the middle of nowhere!" This trip requires basic maneuvering ability and is not always a gentle float, so count on exerting some energy and the occasional splashes of cold water while you navigate the river's obstacles.
